I am Evelyn

My name is Evelyn Eldridge and my career path is not typical of a computer programmer, but one that I feel gives me an advantage as a Mobile App Developer.

I started out on a predictable path for a professional programmer, graduating from the University of Waterloo and working as a software developer for several large companies and projects.  It wasn’t long before I gave up my coding career to stay home and raise my kids where for the past 17 years, I’ve been gaining a wealth of valuable experience.

“I believe that the key to a successful app is truly understanding who will be using the Mobile App and how they will use it.”

My biggest asset as a iOS App Developer is that I understand the needs and experiences of your classic Mobile App User.   I have been a parent to newborns, toddlers, teens and young adults, I am a student and an educator, I am a primary shopper for a household, I balance budgets, I am a coach, I parent a competitive athlete, I tutor in math and physics, I am a recreational athlete, I am an avid cook and baker, I plan and run events, I am a volunteer, I have pets, I belong to a gym, I care for seniors, I am a single parent, I have worked at a startup, I have worked as a consultant, I have worked for government entities, I am a homeowner, I am a homemaker, I use technology, I am a board member, I like things organized, I am busy and I don’t have time to waste…I am your every day Mobile App User.
