Carl Can Divide provides much needed practice with times tables and division for children aged 10 – 14. Students know how to multiply and divide, what they are missing is an entertaining way to practice these skills.
Carl is a smart fish who loves to win prizes by dividing. Players choose a divisor to practice, for example, divide by 5. Numbers will float by and players must swipe any numbers that divide evenly by 5 (like Fruit Ninja). If the number is not divisible, it won’t divide. The numbers get faster and faster as you go. If you make too many mistakes, or miss too many bubbles, the game will end. There is feedback after each game, with your mistakes and progress. There is also a one page email report that kids can send to a parent or teacher (from the app) that summarizes sucess, areas of weakness and amount of time played. The kids have been really keen on the interactive prizes that Carl can hold or use to decorate his room, so it keeps them coming back to complete more levels.
